The Match Promise by: Dan Severn
The Match Promise
by: Dan Severn
Before I walk onto the mat,
I pause a moment to reflect on back,
from where I came, it was not much,
but, where I am heading, I cannot be touched.
These words I speak, they are the same,
speak them I must, they are part of my game.
I must promise to do my very best,
to put my opponent to the ultimate test.
To rise above all that he may do,
I will see the match, all the way through.
Win or lose is not the score,
knowing I did my best, this means more.
I will shoot and defend with all my might,
to let my opponent know he's in for a fight.
Wrestle hard I must, all the way through,
no matter what my opponent may do.
One point at a time, that is what I'll take,
relentless I'll be, no mistakes I'll make.
Ive worked too hard to settle for less,
in the heat of battle, I can handle the stress.
My muscles may ache, from the strain,
with my mind set, I will get through the pain.
I may tire and weaken, my body may begin to cramp,
but I will not stop, I want to be champ.
I will push my opponent to the end,
trying my best to get the pin,
when the whistle blows, the match is done,
the ref raises my arm, because I have won.
I am not average, not like the rest,
I will rise above and become the best!
It is my goal to reach the top,
no matter what, I will not stop..........

Too busy for important Stuff
Because we don't know what is really important to us, everything seems important. Because everything seems important, we have to do everything. Other people, unfortunately, see us as doing everything, so they expect us to do everything. Doing everything keeps us so busy, we don't have time to think about what is really important to us...

Think to the Future
ARE YOU ENJOYING TODAY?
A wise prophet was asked… what is the meaning of life?
He answered “Life is.”
Life is THIS moment and life is what we plan for in the future. If you are not enjoying today and looking forward to tomorrow, you are missing the meaning of life.
Think about this fact: 99% of the population spends 90% of their time thinking to the past which cannot be changed or they think about their marginalized present. The other 1% of the population which includes the visionaries, inventors, captains of industry, and successful entrepreneurs spend 90% of their time looking to the future.
THOUGHTS ALIGNED FEARLESSLY WITH PURPOSE WILL BECOME
A CREATIVE FORCE THAT RECOGNIZES OPPORTUNITY
As you think, so you are, as you change your thinking, so you become! Quantum physics has begun to explain the most remarkable effects of thought on events. This is why the universe
will send people, opportunities and circumstances to us that match our dominant beliefs!
The most powerful energy in the universe is the power of thought. Whatever you are thinking about today, you are literally planning for in the future. If you are worrying, you are planning. If
you are appreciating, you are planning. You must ask yourself then… what are you planning?
As we alter our thoughts toward things and people, things and people will alter toward us.
It’s rapid and life changing.

Who's designing your life
If you don't design your own life plan, chances are your going to fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much. - Jim Rohn

Thought on Parents
You know Mothers & Fathers love to see thier kids...It gets even more important as our parents grow older... my parents are in thier 70's now. In my line of work, I usually finish my working day at about 9pm. 2-3 times per week I run to my parents home B4 I head home. It's so cool, as one of them opens the door, you can see a smile and excitment on thier face. I walk into the kitchen area, I see a plate of food being kept warm on the stove. The plate has some left over food that they had for dinner, which they ate at about 6pm. My mom keeps it thier in anticipation of me stopping by. So I sit at the table, my mom brings me over the plate and we all talk as I eat. Then I leave...
I have this thought in my mind "I see my mom putting the plate in the refrig. on the nights that I don't show up"
And it makes me sad, that I didn't take the 10-15 minutes out of my day to spend in thier company, while they spend all day thinking "is he going to stop by tonight..."
A thought that makes you go "hummmmm"
